Common Questions
How do I know it's the right fit for me?
We can start with a simple conversation. I take the time to understand your needs and what would feel most helpful, so we can determine together if it’s the right fit—no pressure.

Can you help if I am feeling overwhelmed or behind on things?
Absolutely. That’s often when support is needed most. My goal is to step in without judgment and help things feel more manageable, one step at a time.

Do you offer one time help or ongoing support?
Both — and everything in between. Some families need a helping hand for a specific errand or appointment. Others prefer the consistency and peace of mind that comes with regular scheduled visits. Whether you need me once or every week, I'm happy to work around what makes sense for your family. The only requirement is a two-hour minimum per visit.

What makes your service different from an agency?
I offer a more personal, one-on-one approach. You’ll work directly with me, which allows for consistency, trust, and a level of care that feels thoughtful and individualized. I also bring nearly six years of hands-on experience with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia — expertise that's simply not available through most agencies.

Can support be provided in an assisted living community?
Yes. Even in a well-staffed assisted living community, there are moments when a little extra attention makes all the difference — a familiar face for an afternoon visit, help staying organized, or simply someone to sit with and talk. I can step in alongside the existing care team to provide that added layer of personal presence and support. Families often find it brings meaningful comfort to their loved one, and real peace of mind to them.

Is this medical or non-medical care?
I provide non-medical support, including companionship, assistance with daily tasks, and help creating a safe and organized environment. My role is to support both individuals and families in a meaningful, practical way.

Do you provide transportation?
For safety and insurance reasons, I don't transport clients in my personal vehicle. I'm happy to coordinate transportation options and accompany clients to appointments — handling all the logistics so you don't have to.
How are client funds handled for errands and shopping?
Most clients provide a card for household purchases, use a prepaid card, or send funds ahead of time. I keep everything organized and provide receipts so it’s simple and transparent.
How does scheduling work?
Scheduling is flexible based on your needs. We can set up ongoing support or occasional visits, depending on what works best for you and my availability. My hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 - 4:30 with a surcharge for evenings and weekends.

What are your rates?
My rates are based on the type of support your family needs and the frequency of visits — because no two families are exactly alike. Unlike most agencies that require a four-hour minimum, I only require a two-hour minimum per visit, making it easier for families to get the right amount of support without overcommitting. I'd love to start with a complimentary call to learn about your situation.
Services are billed after completion in 15-minute increments after the 2 hour minimum. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be accommodated based on scheduling. I accept cash, check, Zelle, and credit card. A card is securely kept on file for convenience, and a receipt is provided after every visit.
